WARM UPS

- RECALL: We observed the different types of electromagnetic energy.
- EXPLAIN: The purpose of the lab was to learn about the different electromagnetic energies.
- RESULTS: The results were the beads changing color when exposed to UV rays,, and the different colors seen when looked at the light bulb. Another result would be the infrared light, and how it gave off heat. The x-ray can allow you to see through the hidden object.
- UNCERTAIN: Infrared is something i'm uncertain about.
- NEW: I learned about the different types of electromagnetic energy, and that UV rays allow things to change colors.

1. Red light has a longer wave length than the blue light.
2. Astronomers used electromagnetic energy to determine the distance of other galaxies.

Red Shift Wave Lab:
- Using our finger, we caused waves in the water, which represented the electromagnetic waves.
- The purpose of the lab was to learn about the electromagnetic waves existent in light.
- The results of this lab demonstrated the wave length change.
- I am still uncertain about how we can see the Red Shift in other areas.
- Two things I learned was the wave length of the waves, and also the frequency of the waves.

The Red Shift is the travel of electromagnetic waves, and their classification.
It supports the Big Bang Theory.
Astronomers use the electromagnetic waves to determine the distance of galaxies.
It supports the Big Bang Theory.

- Astronomers use electromagnetic energy to determine the distance of other galaxies, based on the light that's being reflected.
- The Big Bang theory is the theory of the galaxies and how they have formed, and are expanding. Astronomers use the red-shift to support this theory. Radiation is also one of the things.

A light year is the distance light travels in one year. Astronomers use light years to measure large amounts of distance.
1/9/2013
Astronomers classify galaxies by their shape. They are classified as spiral, irregular, and eleptical.

- A nebulae are more than one nebula in a could of gas and dust.
- 1. The larger the star the larger the life span. 2. Stars usually die from an explosion in their core.
